ALARA BILGEN

My name is Alara Bilgen, i was born in 1997. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Özyeğin University in Istanbul, I completed my master’s degree in Interior Living and Design at Domus Academy Milan.

Following my postgraduate studies, I interned at Simone Micheli Studio in Milan, where I focused on architectural design. After returning to Turkey, I co-founded Bilgen Architecture with my sister and business partner, Selen Sayın.

We are on a beautiful journey with design—one that constantly fuels our creativity. To expand this passion, we established another studio and brand where we design both high-end handcrafted pieces and more everyday, functional products.

At Bilgen Architecture, we reflect a versatile approach to every aspect of design. We create entirely bespoke solutions tailored to each individual’s tastes and needs. Our working principle is rooted in transparency—sharing every step of the process closely with our clients.

With a commitment to continuous learning and growth, we strive to evolve both personally and professionally, bringing that same progress and refinement into every project we undertake. I am proefficient in AutoCAD, 3dsmax, Corona Renderer, Vray, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino.

In my work, I avoid limiting myself to a single element; instead, I approach design as a problem to be thoughtfully solved. I strive to resolve each challenge in the most aesthetic and unique way possible. While focusing on functionality and comfort for the user, I also integrate the client’s personal taste to enrich the design aesthetically—creating a balanced harmony between usability and visual appeal.
