SELEN SAYIN

My name is Selen Sayın, born in 1992, and I am a passionate architect based in Istanbul. I graduated from Yeditepe University, Faculty of Architecture in 2016.

Soon after graduation, I gained hands-on experience as a site supervisor between 2016 and 2017. In 2018, driven by my interest in design beyond buildings, I founded my own bag brand, Shine and Blaze. Our exclusive designs were sold at La Fayette stores in Istanbul until 2021.

In 2023, I fully returned to the field of architecture and co-founded Bilgen Architects with my sister Alara Bilgen. Our firm focuses primarily on interior architecture, delivering design and implementation projects for residences, factories, ateliers, and offices. In parallel, we established Alse Design Studio, where we create handcrafted, artistic decorative pieces that reflect our passion for material, texture, and uniqueness.

Currently, I also work actively at Mano Atelier in Istanbul, a ceramic and porcelain studio, where I continue to explore the intersection of art and architecture.
